November 1st, Day of the Dead
Without your ancestors, you wouldn’t be here.
It’s that simple.
And by honoring them, it doesn’t mean bow down to them. We honor someone by acknowledging them, remembering them, seeing them as the individual they were. Their stories, their experiences, their lives…
We all have our own stories.
We all have faults as well as greatness.
They did too.
And their stories, learnings, knowledge, thoughts, ways of doing things, are all a part of our personal story and of our biology.
So by honoring them, you honor yourself as well. Because we ALL (past and present) deserve a little honoring and acknowledgment.
